Greetings from Lethbridge,

Hello and welcome to the Canadian Society of Animal Science web site! The purpose of this web site is to provide our members with up-to-date information relating to the Society.

My goal as incoming President will be to strengthen the Society while continuing to make sure it addresses members' needs.

The incoming 2005/06 Executive consists of : Duane McCartney, Past President; Paul McCaughey, President; Mike Dugan, President-Elect and Web-master; Priya Mir, Vice President/Conference Coordinator; Kees Plaisir, Secretary-Treasurer; Ming Fan, Eastern Director/Awards; Steve Miller, Eastern Director/Membership Chair; Moussa Diarra, Western Director/Membership; Kim Stanford, Awards Committee Chair; Lyle Rode, Director at Large/Industry Representative and Mary-Lou Swift, Director at Large. Chantal Farmer is the incoming Editor of Canadian Journal of Animal Science.

I would like to recognize and sincerely thank all of our out-going executive members (Erasmus Okine, Christiane Girard, Johanne Chiquette, John Basarab and Mike Ivan) for their service to the society. Thank you for a job well done!

Last year, Duane McCartney our Past President started communicating with the membership by email at least several times each year. I will continue to use this method to keep members up-to-date with current developments.

I wish all members of CSAS the best in the upcoming year and commit myself to serving the society to the best of my abilities.
