Organization

The Canadian Society of Animal Science is a national organization with an elected executive committee. CSAS is an Associate Member of the AIC.

Membership is open to persons currently or previously employed in research, teaching, administration, extension, production, marketing, or otherwise interested in any field pertaining to the animal industry. There are three categories for membership including regular members, retired members, and student members (undergraduate or graduate).

Advantages

Membership in CSAS provides significant professional benefits for members:

Reduced registration cost at the national annual meeting. The annual meeting includes technical and scientific papers, symposia, and discussion of general problems influencing the animal industry as well as the business affairs of CSAS.

Optional print and/or electronic subscription to the Canadian Journal of Animal Science which is edited by CSAS and published four times a year.

Reduced journal subscription rates

Reduced page charges for published manuscripts in the Canadian Journal of Animal Science.

CSAS and AIC sponsored awards.

Opportunities to participate as consultants in AIC International Programs.

Participation in CSAS rapid response teams.

Establishment of contacts within a professional society.
